Police in Prestatyn dealt with a rather unusual crime last month.  On the night of February 6th, police were alerted to individuals who were taking garden ornaments and gnomes from people’s gardens and dragging them out onto the pavement, where a vehicle was picking them up.

Two people were arrested and the police were led to a large number of garden ornaments, presumably stolen that evening.  Prestatyn owners who have lost their garden ornaments are being encouraged to ring the Prestatyn police on either 0845 607 1001 (Welsh language) or 0845 607 1002 (English language) so the items can be returned, so if you’re missing your garden gnome, call them now!
