Adding Pond Plants

Tips Add comments

I wrote yesterday about spring cleaning the pond, so now is also a good time to add more water plants to the pond if you wish to do so.  The full range may not be available until the summer, especially if you want waterlilies or irises - you might have to wait until May for that.

They’re often sold in tiny little pots, so you’ll have to replant them into baskets.  I find 8 inch or 20 cm square ones are the right size to sit on shelves round a small pond, or, if you want deep water aquatic plants, try a round basket, about 12 inches or 30 cm in diameter.
